I worked to improve access to neurosurgery rotations for our medical students. Prior to that time, the neurosurgery rotation was not available to our third-year medical students as one of their electives during their surgery rotation. I collaborated with my general surgery colleagues, rotation coordinators, as well as medical school faculty and administrators to make neurosurgery one of the electives available to our third-year medical students during their surgery rotation. This has significantly increased OUWB students' exposure to neurosurgery which will ultimately translate to more of our student doctors considering pursuit of his noble surgical discipline for their life's work.
