First in the State

I was the first surgeon in the state to offer and perform radiofrequency ablation for a spinal tumor. This is an important additional tool in the care of oncology patients with metastatic disease. I then served as a principal investigator for an IRB-approved, prospective, randomized, controlled trial utilizing this new technology at Beaumont. I recently published my case series regarding the improved outcomes associated with using this technology for the treatment of breast cancer patients with spine metastases (Ragheb A, 2022).
